OR

How to write a research question:
What natural disaster am I interested in?
What are some of the issues that might be interesting to investigate?
Sentence starters:
- To what extent
- Should…?
- How…?
- Is...justified?
Check your question
- Is there more than one answer to your question?
- Are there different perspectives and ideas that arise from your question?
- Is it specific but with enough scope to find lots of information?
- Timeframe
- What is the area of major focus?
You will struggle if your question has...
...a yes or no answer
...can only provide one perspective or result
...is it too broad and general; It could be applied to many different situations.
